Alice R. Laule
Alice R. Laule, M.D., graduated medical school with her Medical Doctorate in 1976 from the University of Arkansas Medical Sciences Campus in Little Rock Arkansas. She went into private practice of Ophthalmology in Harrison, Arkansas in 1981, closing that practice in 1996, when she began a holistic medical practice after years of study of that subject. Dr. Laule has board certification in Ophthalmology (November of 1981), as well as board certification in Holistic Medicine (December 2000). Although retired from clinical practice, Dr. Laule is still available for Entertropic Therapy sessions, lectures, and teaching.
Laurell Matthews
Dr. Laurell Matthews is one of only four medically trained naturopathic doctors in Arkansas. She was raised in Fayetteville and earned her bachelor’s in biochemistry from University of Kansas. She received her doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine from Bastyr University in Seattle.
Bastyr University is one of five accredited naturopathic medical schools in the United States offering a four-year, graduate level naturopathic medical program with educational standards recognized and approved by the US Department of Education. The program includes education in biomedical sciences and laboratory diagnosis as well as natural therapies such as botanical medicine, nutrition, homeopathy, bodywork, hydrotherapy, and counseling.
Dr. Laurell also completed over 950 hours of clinical internship at the Bastyr Center For Natural Health, where she saw over 400 patients. Upon completion of her training, Dr. Laurell passed national board examinations administered by the North American Board of Naturopathic Examiners.
Dr. Laurell focuses on treating the cause of illness while supporting the body’s innate healing abilities in order to prevent and treat many chronic conditions. She blends centuries-old knowledge and a philosophy that nature is the most effective healer with current research on health and human systems.
Dr. Laurell has experience treating a wide variety of acute and chronic complaints, but her specialties include digestion, detoxification, mood, and women’s health. She uses nutrients and herbs to balance neurotransmitter levels, making life-changing differences in health conditions such as depression and anxiety. She advises on lifestyle and diet modifications where she loves to share her passion for nutrition and cooking. She also utilizes botanical medicine, nutritional supplements, homeopathy, hydrotherapy and craniosacral therapy when appropriate. Lori Terry
New to the staff of Future Visions, Lori Terry has been working in the health care profession since 1998. She received her Associate's Degree as a Registered Nurse from North Arkansas College in 2006. She will be available for lab work and IV infusions at Harrison Optimal Health. She will be also be seeing patients for energy work, Reiki, and Healing Touch. She is also planning to do some workshops in the near future. Click here to learn more about Lori.
Gary DuFord
Gary DuFord, L.M.T. graduated White River School of Massage in 2005, was first licensed in 2005 and then again in 2011. Gary is an Ozarks native attending school at Alpena, N.A.C. and U of A. Gary's style of therapeutic massage is a meditative communication of touch that allows him to focus on the target area(s) of tension, allowing him to use static touch with other methods of massage to relieve the pressure and relax area muscles.
Lynne Lott
Lynne Lott moved to Harrison in 1976, raised her two daughters and got a BS degree from College of the Ozarks in Point Lookout, MO, in 1982. Her married daughters live in Springdale with their 7 children. Lynne has been a vegan vegetarian for nearly 20 years and through a quest for better health, was trained as a Health Minister with Hallelujah Acres to teach the Hallelujah Lifestyle. At the same time she went for Culinary training with raw food and started teaching hands-on, small group raw food preparation in 2007. She is currently teaching classes once a week at Prairie Market health food store.
Lynne is also a practicing Reflexologist, certified by the International Institute of Reflexology in April, 2010. She will be available for Reflexology treatments Wednesday and Thursday from 10-5 and Friday afternoons 12-5 by appointment only.
